DESCRIPTION:2021 FREEDOM FESTIVAL\nHOSTED BY JUNETEENTH OF THOMASVILLE \nThe Douglass High School Alumni Association (DHSAA) is pleased to sponsor the 1st Annual Juneteenth Festival in partnership with the No More Shackles Empowerment Mentoring Program\, NAACP of Thomas County Branch\, City of Thomasville\, One Heartbeat Inc\, & Project Backyard. \nOur goal is to educate everyone about African Americans’ freedom and achievements while encouraging continuous self-development and respect for all cultures.  Respect and appreciation for all of our differences grows out of exposure and working together.  This celebration is to create unity in the community\, as well as to break pre-judgmental barriers about the origins of the African American path to freedom. \nThis community-wide event will also offer free health screenings\, valuable informational displays\, and much more.\nWe invite you (and/or your organization or business) to participate in this momentous event.
